Feeling what we actually feel is an essential part of life, rarely taught. everything is at our disposal to cover our feelings when they become a nuisance - technology, substances, etc. only i can go through my feelings and face them with a brave heart - no one can do it for me - and paradoxically that is the only way i will be able to relate with others in a genuine way, as a sovereign being rather than through co-dependency.
Feeling what we feel can be lovely sometimes - life is beautiful especially when we connect to the higher spiritual octaves of reality. But we are having a human experience here. The pain, sorrow, grief, confusion and anger will not magically heal through "positive thinking" or just focusing on what you want to manifest. Healing is a process initiated by life, in which we must consciously participate. Healing helps us to open to the possibility that life is good. Then, we are to take that knowing and put it into practice by having the courage to go through the darkness, in the confidence that we can face the dragon and come out alive.
There is no shame in admitting our vulnerability. humility is what lets grace enter to revitalize us. It is the false ego that thinks it knows best, that it is invincible. Life is all about interconnectedness, the beauty and fragility of this web we are all a part of. We are not all-powerful, but when we pray to the Divine we become so as carriers, representatives of that Divine power and love. It is not us, but it runs through us. For it belongs not to one man, one place, one belief system. It is for all.
So by acknowledging what we feel in the moment, like a child- not trying to correct ourselves but simply being honest- we allow the space for life, love to guide us, and that is a source of strength. Rather than having to control our feelings all the time, controlling how we appear to others, we may be free - to be exactly who we are, fallible, human, but ultimately part of something much bigger, cosmic, infinitely wise...
